From 9th-13th February, 1915, the 1st Dorset battalion of 15 Brigade, 5th Division were in trenches at Wulverghem, south of the Wulverghem-Messines road. Alexander Crawshaw was killed on 11th February when the enemy shelled with high explosive the battalions support trenches. |
